Bodega Chacra, founded in 2003 by Piero Incisa della Rochetta, whose grandfather started the 'super Tuscan' Sassicaia, is settling the bench mark for Pinot Noir in South America. This abandoned vineyard was discovered with old vines dating back to 1932. Original vines are still used.
Aged 11 months in French oak, the Chacra Barda is light, elegant and silky. Perfumed aromatics with hints of cigar box and mint. Flavours of red cherries and sweet spices. A great example of balanced integration of fruit, acid and oak.
