Proud to be poured. You’ll have heard that looks can be deceiving. Well, McEwan’s Champion Ale is Exhibit A in proving that statement true. First impressions are of a sweet and fruity beer. But this delicate taste belies its power. As you fully get to know its intense flavours you’ll realise this is a very strong, dark and traditional ale. William McEwan would have been proud of it. 7.3% ABV
As the brewers at McEwan’s say, this ale is “proud to be poured”. The aroma of this scotch ale is sweet, fruity, and of light sugars. The taste is different than the aroma being very strong and pronounced much like a traditional ale. You’ll pick up delicate flavors of scotch, toffee, and caramel malts.
