The wines of Seehof are not your typical Rheinhessen renditions. Florian's wines are all about understated elegance. They are calm and precise, displaying immense clarity. His wines display many of the hallmark characteristics of the region, but they shine through in such a subtle way that they only register on the periphery, never dominating the wines. The "Feinherb" smells like a blossoming lime tree. The palate is airy and pure. There is a faint, yet distinct bitter note that reminds one of pineapple cut from close to the core. The finish is long, with bright acid and minerality.
